Established in 1972, TIMco (T.I. Midwood & Co. Limited) has evolved into one of the UK's largest and most experienced importers and wholesalers of screws, fixings, fasteners, nails, and power tool accessories. Headquartered in Nantwich, Cheshire, the company supplies over 7,000 product lines to distributors throughout the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
The company's origins trace back to a small unit at No. 1 Love Street, Chester, where founder Tim Midwood began by importing a modest range of nylon lock nuts and self-tapping screws. Recognizing the growing needs of the construction industry, TIMco expanded its product range to include drywall screws and other essential fixings.
In 2002, Simon Midwood, son of the founder, took over the leadership of the company. Under his guidance, TIMco has continued to prioritize treating each customer as an individual, understanding and supporting their unique business needs. This customer-centric approach, known as the 'TIMco Hug,' has fostered long-standing relationships with key partners.
Today, TIMco employs over 160 staff members across its offices in the UK, Ireland, and Taiwan. The company's extensive product portfolio includes screws, fasteners, fixings, nails, tapes, adhesives, building chemicals, hardware, site protection, security products, and ironmongery. Additionally, TIMco owns and operates the Addax brand of power tool accessories and FirmaHold’s collated nails and fuels, further diversifying its offerings to meet the demands of the construction industry.
