Dust leaves regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to remove loose particles. For more thorough cleaning, wipe individual leaves with a slightly damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent, then dry immediately. Gently dust the trunk and rattan with a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush to remove grime. If needed, use a barely damp cloth to remove marks, then dry straightaway. Do not saturate the wood or rattan with water; excessive moisture can weaken bindings or cause the trunk surface to darken.
Keep the moss decoration free of dust by brushing it gently or using a low-suction vacuum with a brush attachment. If the moss becomes loose, press it back into place; avoid wetting the moss as moisture can encourage shedding or loosen adhesives. Keep the pot away from prolonged damp conditions.
