Wipe MDF and painted metal frame with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild detergent if needed. Avoid excessive water on MDF to prevent swelling; dry surfaces promptly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers on painted metal to keep the finish intact.
Empty and clean the litter tray regularly and air the cabinet by leaving doors open briefly when possible. The built-in back-panel holes assist airflow; remove the scratchboard occasionally to vacuum or wipe the interior and sprinkle a light layer of baking soda outside the tray area to help neutralise odours.
Lift out the scratching board for routine maintenance: shake or vacuum to remove loose debris, and wipe any surface dirt with a dry or barely damp cloth. Replace the board once it becomes heavily worn; keeping it removable makes cleaning the area beneath much easier.
