This C.S. Osborne Tufting Needle is an auto releasing tufting tool designed not to catch when it is withdrawn. After threading the button the end of the needle is loaded with clasps. As the needle reaches its maximum depth the clasp is ejected. As there is not need to remove the outside back of the piece being tufted this tool is a great time saving device.
