This striking decorative sculpture pairs a hand‑blown circular glass disc with an individually selected teak root base. The glass is artistically moulded onto the root so it appears to melt into the wood, creating a Dali‑style focal piece for mantel, console or shelf.
Each sculpture is handcrafted — the glass is hand‑blown and the base made from a natural teak root. Because of the artisanal process and the organic nature of the wood, every piece differs in grain, finish and exact form, making yours a one‑off item.
Dimensions are approximate (W 42 x D 15 x H 50 cm) and the price is for one sculpture only. Use a stable, level surface for display and place away from high humidity or direct sources of heat to preserve both the glass and the natural root base.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild glass cleaner or a solution of warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap. Wipe gently to avoid dragging any grit across the surface, then dry with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders or ammonia‑based chemicals that can damage the glass finish.
Dust the teak root regularly with a dry, soft cloth or a soft brush to remove surface grit. Keep the wood away from prolonged direct sunlight and extreme humidity changes to reduce cracking or warping. If the wood appears dry over time, a light application of a natural oil suitable for teak can be applied sparingly to restore richness, but always test on an inconspicuous area first.
Place the sculpture on a stable, level surface and consider using small felt pads beneath the base to prevent surface scratches.
