A different take on Balinese ceremonial parasols, this hand‑woven macrame sun parasol is crafted by a small family workshop in Ubud, Bali. The delicate macrame canopy and decorative carving give it authentic, artisanal character that suits garden parties, boho patios and outdoor living spaces.
The pole is jointed for easy storage and uses a high‑quality metal screw fitting on the pole joints rather than a split pole or simple peg. That screw fitting offers a firmer, longer‑lasting connection and makes the parasol easier to open and close without damaging the joint.
This parasol is not waterproofed and the fabric may bleach over time in direct sunlight. For best longevity we recommend using a good quality UV and weatherproof parasol cover when the parasol is not in use, and always storing the canopy completely dry to avoid mould and staining.
With a 2.0 m canopy span and a maximum height of 260 cm, this parasol creates a generous shaded area. Please note the parasol is sold on its own — base or stand is not included — and natural colour variations in the gold print and fabric are to be expected as each piece is handmade in small batches.
This parasol is not waterproofed and the fabric can fade in prolonged sun exposure. Use a purpose‑made UV and weatherproof parasol cover whenever the parasol is not in use, and avoid leaving it up constantly in direct sunlight. Regular use of a cover will significantly slow colour bleaching and prolong the canopy’s appearance.
For spot cleaning, gently brush away loose debris then dab stains with a soft cloth and mild, diluted detergent. Avoid heavy soaking or harsh cleaners which can weaken fibres or affect any decorative printing. After cleaning, allow the canopy to dry completely in the open air before storing to prevent mould growth.
Always ensure the canopy is completely dry before folding and storing. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight where possible. If storing outdoors between uses, keep the parasol in a breathable cover that offers UV protection and allows any residual moisture to evaporate rather than trapping it.
