This striking piece combines functional glassware with sculptural natural wood. Hand-blown glass oil and vinegar bottles are cleverly moulded on to individually selected teak root pieces, creating the impression that the glass is melting into the wood for a Dali-style effect.
Each bottle is removable for practical use, while the teak root base provides a unique, tactile support that makes every piece one-of-a-kind. As these items are hand crafted from natural root and hand‑blown glass, appearance, exact dimensions and weight will vary between pieces.
Please note this item is decorative and functional but not suitable for exposure to heat or for use with candles. All sizes are approximate; treat the sculpture as a delicate, artisanal object and handle with care.
Remove the glass bottles from the teak root before cleaning. Wash the bottles by hand in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly; avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Allow bottles to dry completely before replacing them on the base to prevent moisture transfer to the wood. Do not immerse the root in water.
Dust the teak root regularly with a soft, dry cloth. If deeper cleaning is needed, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or direct heat, and do not use aggressive chemical cleaners. A light application of a suitable natural wood oil once or twice a year can help maintain the timber's appearance, applied sparingly and wiped off thoroughly.
Keep the sculpture away from direct heat sources such as radiators, ovens or open flames; the product is explicitly not suitable for use with candles or any heat source. Prolonged direct sunlight can also affect the timber and any finishes, so place the piece in a location with indirect light and stable room temperatures to preserve both the glass and wood.
