This piece is designed for use with battery-operated LED candles only; the wooden base is flammable so naked flames are not recommended. The glass tumbler lifts out for cleaning and for easy candle placement — it accommodates candles up to 6 cm in diameter.

Remove the glass tumbler from the wooden base before cleaning. Wash the glass gently by hand in warm soapy water, avoiding abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that can scratch the finish. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a lint-free cloth before replacing the tumbler on the base to prevent water marks or moisture transfer to the wood.
Dust the teak root regularly with a soft, dry cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive moisture, which can cause cracking or colour changes. If the wood becomes dry, a very light application of a suitable natural wood oil or conditioner can help preserve the grain, but avoid soaking the base or using abrasive cleaners.
Due to the flammable wooden base, battery-operated LED candles are recommended to protect the teak and extend the life of the piece. Using naked flames risks scorching or igniting the wood and may cause permanent damage to both the base and glass. LED candles also eliminate soot and heat transfer that can stain or warp the materials.
