A fusion of functional design and natural sculpture, this Molten Glass holder pairs a removable hand-blown glass tumbler with an individually selected teak root base. The piece works equally well as a desk pen pot or an accent tealight holder when used with a battery-operated LED candle.
Each glass tumbler is gently moulded to sit in the contours of the teak root, creating a unique silhouette for every item. Because the base is a natural root piece, grain, colour and form will vary — each product is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind.
The compact footprint makes it suitable for desks, side tables and shelves. The removable glass means routine cleaning is straightforward and the solid teak base brings a warm, organic contrast to the clear glass.
Due to the solid wood base being flammable, the use of battery-operated LED candles is recommended rather than naked flame candles. If real candles are used, be aware that flame and soot can damage the wood and finish.
Remove the glass tumbler from the wooden base and wash it in warm soapy water using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners that can scratch or dull the glass. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a lint-free cloth before returning it to the base to prevent moisture contact with the wood.
Using naked flame candles can deposit soot, drip wax and expose the wooden base to heat, which may discolour or char the teak and shorten the product’s life. For long-term appearance and minimal maintenance, battery-operated LED candles are recommended. If you occasionally use a real candle, remove soot and wax promptly and clean the glass and wood following the care guidance.
