The bench is robust by design and made from solid teak root. With appropriate care it will provide many years of service; the wood may mellow and develop a silvery patina if left outdoors, which many owners appreciate for a weathered look.
Remove loose dirt, leaves and debris with a soft brush or cloth. For routine cleaning use a damp cloth and mild soapy water, then rinse and allow to dry thoroughly. Avoid pressure washers or harsh scrubbing, as these can erode the carved surface and loosen fibres in the wood.
