What Is Teak Root?

Teak root is the subterranean portion of the Tectona grandis tree, known for its dense, durable hardwood. Typically left behind during traditional timber harvesting, these roots are now being salvaged and repurposed, turning what was once waste into beautiful, long-lasting furniture. The wood is naturally resistant to moisture, pests, and rot thanks to its high oil content, making it an ideal material for both aesthetics and durability.

This table is made using reclaimed teak wood and root, meaning no new trees are cut to produce it.
