Dust the bench regularly with a soft cloth or brush to remove loose dirt. For deeper cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild, pH-neutral soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can strip the wood’s natural oils and damage the surface.
Small surface cracks and splits are natural in root timber. To minimise drying, avoid placing the bench in direct heat sources or prolonged direct sun. Maintain modest indoor humidity where kept inside, and apply a suitable teak or natural wood oil occasionally to replenish oils and slow moisture loss, following product instructions.
