Made by Indonesian artists from repurposed, upcycled and reclaimed teak recovered from discarded boats and furniture, the Root Rectangle Sun Wall Panel brings organic warmth and tactile texture to any interior. Each panel is hand crafted so no two pieces are identical, offering a truly individual statement for living rooms, hallways or office walls.
This rectangular wall panel measures 120 x 80 cm and is presented in natural teak tones that work with both contemporary and rustic décors. The reclaimed nature of the timber means variations in colour, grain and finish are part of the design, creating depth and visual interest from every angle.
Because the piece is crafted from solid, reclaimed wood, it is durable and intended for interior display. Small imperfections, colour variation and irregular edges reflect the material’s history and the artisanal process used to create each panel.
Available in four different shapes and sizes, this panel is part of the Root collection of teak wall art. It is supplied as a decorative wall panel (mounting hardware and exact fixing instructions are not included here).
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to remove surface dust and grit. For deeper cleaning use a slightly damp, soft cloth, wiping along the grain and drying immediately with a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or soaking the wood, as excessive moisture can damage reclaimed timber.
Reclaimed teak will naturally mellow and can change subtly with exposure to light and air. To protect the finish keep the panel away from prolonged direct sunlight which can cause lightening or uneven fading. Maintain relatively stable indoor humidity and avoid placing the panel in very damp or very dry locations to minimise splitting or warping.
If the wood appears dry, you can revive it with a specialist teak or natural wood oil applied sparingly and following the manufacturer’s guidance. Test any oil on a small, inconspicuous area first. Wipe off any excess and allow the panel to dry thoroughly. Avoid high-gloss varnishes which can obscure the reclaimed character.
