This Root Block Console is hand-carved from a whole teak root system by Indonesian artists, creating a sculptural piece that also functions as a versatile console table. The artisans preserve the root’s natural contours while producing a smooth, flat surface suitable for display and daily use.
Each console is a unique work of furniture: grain, colour and form vary with the original root, so no two pieces will look exactly the same. You may see natural markings from the wood’s oils and the organic shapes that make this piece a focal point in any room.
The top slab is hand-carved into a smooth finish all round, offering a stable surface for lamps, books or decorative objects. Because this is solid teak root, the piece is robust and sculptural in presence, combining functional use with artisanal character.
