This dramatic stag, hand carved and sculpted from teak tree roots by Indonesian artists, stands approximately 175cm tall and makes a bold decorative statement. Each piece is carved from natural root material, so grain, knots, colour and exact form will vary and contribute to its unique character.
At around W 130 x D 45 x H 175 cm (sizes approximate), the sculpture has an imposing presence that works equally well in seasonal displays, retail settings and as a year-round feature in a large hallway or living space. An alternate height version is also offered at 120cm.
Because every item is crafted from reclaimed root material, no two sculptures are identical. Artists preserve the organic contours of the root, emphasising natural texture and form rather than a uniform finish, so expect irregularities and individual character.
